Measure O Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

The Board of Trustees of the Burlingame School District is actively seeking additional qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee of community leaders which will serve as the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (“CBOC”) for the District’s Measure O School Facilities Bond Program. Members serve two-year terms and meet (4) times per year. Members must reside within the District's boundaries. 

What is the CBOC? Formed under California Proposition 39 requirements, the CBOC is a volunteer committee dedicated to ensuring that bond funds are spent only on voter-approved projects, such as school renovations, modernizations and facility upgrades.

Responsibilities: 

  • Review Expenditures: Review annual bond financial and performance audits.
  • Inform the Public: Provide reports to the community on the progress of bond projects.
  • Verify Compliance: Ensure no bond funds are used for teacher / administrative salaries.
