Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

The Local Control Accountability Plan, more commonly known as the LCAP is an important component of the LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula). Under the LCFF all LEAs (Local Educational Agencies) are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified pursuant to Ed Code Section 52060(d).

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is used to plan, measure, and provide goals, action steps and expenditures for the Burlingame School District's plan to support pupil outcomes and overall student performance pursuant to Education Code Sections 52060, 52066, 47605, 47605.5 and 47606.5. The LCAP describes the goals and specific action steps to achieve those goals for all pupils and each subgroup of pupils identified as low income, English Language learners, special education and foster youth. The LCAP was written in collaboration with the Burlingame Community. The LCAP Committee and District Advisory Committee review the final version prior to Board approval.

Burlingame School District worked closely with staff, Burlingame Education Association (BEA), California School Employees Association (CSEA), parents, the Board of Trustees, and community representatives to create our LCAP. All parents and staff were surveyed to acquire feedback for the plan goals and measures.
